The evening was full of laughs and good times, including the well spoken and entertaining toast by the Father of the Bride. Which was followed by, and a beautiful accent to, the touching toast giving by David's mother.
After cutting the cake, David proved that humor ran in the family as he gave his Thank You speech to much applause.
Shelly Eschleman, of Simply Santa Barbara, and her assistant Ericka controlled the flow of the evening flawlessly. Even the challenging maneuver of directing 160 guests from where the ceremony was held, to the cocktail hour venue, to the dinner tent, and finally to the dancing tent was smooth and enjoyable.
Our own DJ Zeke acted as MC for the evenings proceedings and ushered in the dancing with the Bride & Groom's first dance to the tune of "Stand By Me".
In the middle of the dance set the entire reception came together for the Hora, the traditional Jewish dance that had everyone on their feet and cheering. This, and all of the evenings happenings, were carefully photographed by David Howell.
The celebration didn't end after we were done. DJ Dynomike took over for the last hour with Karaoke, since this was a great pasttime for Dave and Mykah when they lived here. Dave kicked off Karaoke with his take on Meatloaf's "I will do anything for love".
By the end of the evening everyone agreed, this was a great wedding!
Congratulations to Myka and David!**Photos below from GRP***
