Bennett Schmid

With more than a decade of dedication and experience, Bennett has crafted an impressive resume of diverse experience playing clubs, weddings, parties and events throughout Southern California. Bennett has performed at venues ranging from the Edison to the El Rey Theatre and premier resorts such as the Four Seasons Biltmore, the Bacara Resort & Spa or the Belmond El Encanto Hotel. Recent events include New Years Eve at 71Above, the La Canada Flintridge Education Foundation annual gala at the Langham Hotel Pasadena (for the third year running), the May Day march on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall, and numerous weddings in some of the finest venues from wine country down to Orange County. He is currently a recurring DJ for the Edison in downtown Los Angeles. He has been a guest DJ at a number of popular and highly regarded nightlife spots throughout Los Angeles such as the 71Above, Breakroom 86, The Shortstop, Zanzibar, Herringbone, the Echo, the Wellesbourne and many more. 

Bennett began his career in the lively music scene of Baltimore, Maryland which helped to shape his work ethic and wide scope of interest.  Whether he is spinning current hits, party classics, Hip Hop, old school Funk, the finest Soul R&B, 80's Rock & Pop, House, Downtempo, Jazz, Latin, Reggae or Dancehall, Bennett has a sound to fit every occasion.  He is skilled at the art of blending and comfortable on the cut. Bennett has a deep and extensive knowledge of popular music that only an experienced events DJ and former employee of Amoeba Music (the world's largest record store!) could possess.
As a veteran DJ who has worked alongside many high quality wedding planners and production/event managers , Bennett is prepared to work closely to tailor the perfect set to suit your event and fill the dance floor.
