Christine and Ross were married at a private estate in Montecito, California on Saturday, May 19, 2012. There were so many amazing things about their day, we don't know where to begin. Christie and Ross were joined by 120 of their closest and dearest friends and family. These two surfers had the best wedding that completely defined who they were.

Kelly Clark Leonard of Event of the Season was their planner, and she made sure everything was perfect - and it was. Their ceremony was presided upon by their close friend Sean Nicholas, and musicians Kaleo Na’ea and Bill Flores sang and played steel guitar and ukelele. Ross' dad, Bruce, sang and played the Beatles' "I Will" on his guitar during the ceremony. We did the sound and mics for the ceremony :)

Our photographer was Kacie Jean, who took amazing pictures of everything - please visit her blog for more beautiful pictures of Christine and Ross' day. The florist was Grass Roots, and lighting and rentals were done by Tent Merchant.

After dinner, Ross Best Man Adam made what we believe to be the best Best Man Speech ever. Christine's maid of honor did justice in a fabulous follow up toast. Then the first dance. It was a surprise to all when Israel Kamakawiwo’ole's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" record skipped and was replaced by Missy Elliot's "We Run This" - the bridal party came up and did a choreographed dance that made the crowd go wild! Hopefully someone got this on video - we'd love to see it again :) There was also a surprise performance form one of the guests who sang the entire 10 minute version of Rapper's Delight to the instrumental beat - a feat that we haven't ever seen accomplished until now.

The dance floor was packed and requests for new and old favorites came in and everyone had a fun and fabulous time. Christine and Ross toasted their friends and family (who all signed their surfboard "guestbook"), cut their Wedding Pie, and then they danced with their parents: Father/Daughter dance to “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder, Step-Father/Daughter dance to “High Tide or Low Tide” by Bob Marley, and Mother/Son dance to “So Happy Together” by The Turtles. We ended the night with Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" which had everyone singing into the night.

We sent Christine and Ross off  with a sparkler exit. What a great day - Congratulations to Christine and Ross!!

Proms are always a fun time. But it would be hard to come across a prom as amazing as Cate School 2012!

From start to finish Cate School did it up in a big way. GRP was hired to come in, not only to provide a DJ and Karaoke System, but also to add the impressive "Starry Sky" LED backdrop and white silk entry way draping. That, combined with the wonderful decor provided by the volunteers and teachers of Cate School created a perfect setting for a record breaking party.

After a luxurious boat cruise aboard the Channel Cate, the 60 Cate School Seniors rolled into the Santa Barbara Hyatt for hours filled with dancing, dining, photos, and performance. Things got off to a quick start with DJ Epik warming on the floor and our MC Rooster getting everybody worked up for the night to come and handing out glow toys to add some color.

After a short dance set, dinner was served and everyone quickly took their seats. Mark the Magician made his rounds entertaining everyone and the karaoke got started with a performance of 'Wanna Be' by the Spice Girls! The kids were eager to get back to dancing though, and it didn't take much to get everyone out of their seats and packing the dance floor. With the Photo Booth and Portrait Photographer in full swing, the Hyatt staff opened up the dessert buffet but even with all these great activities the kids still kept the dance floor packed while DJ Hecktik laid down his usual stellar set.

The hours flew by and before anyone knew it it was time to call last song; even that didn't stop these kids from dancing! Rooster had to tell them three times to get off the dance floor and get ready to head on to their next part of the evening, Golf n' Stuff! At 10:45 the music was shut down and people reluctantly shuffled out the door.

Proms are always fun, but not every prom is as awesome as Cate School 2012! Thank you Cate School for having us, we had a great time and hope you did too!

Every Third Thursday of the month, Gavin Roy Presents DJs at the Marquee. Our DJs play Jazz, Funk, Soul and remixes to get your groove on. Join DJs Bennett Schmid, Danny Vasquez, and Gavin Roy - along with sax player Craig along with percussionist Dustin for an amazing lounge trip.

The Marquee is the hottest martini lounge in the heart of the downtown Art and Theatre District. The ambiance and menu reflect the theme of the "modern classic", with a warm and intimate atmosphere that complements the Granada's own Restoration Project, and provides a theater worthy experience from the lip of a martini glass.

Even the sun is ready for wedding season!

After days of rain, the clouds parted and the sun came out to shine down upon a beautiful couple at a beautiful junction in their lives. Julie and Chris vowed their love forever at the Rockwood Women's Center in the foothills of Santa Barbara on Saturday, April 14, 2012.

Our wonder coordinator, Inger Larsen, took the helm for this event, assuring that everything was perfect. The ceremony took place under the grand oak tree that frames the patio, draped in beautiful fabric provided by GRP.

With the arrival of the guests, the officiant Saral Burdette took her place at the head of the congregation and welcomed forth the Bride, Groom, and their respective parties to take their places. Julie walked down the aisle to "Butterfly Waltz" by the Twilights Piano Series and walked back, together with her husband, to "Where you lead" by Carol King.

After a lively cocktail hour, the Bridal Parties' made their Grand Entrance to "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis & The News before sitting down to a lavish dinner and toasts. Julie and Chris then took their first dance with the song "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King, followed by a group Father/Daughter Mother/Son dance accompanied by the wonderous sound of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World".

Our very own DJ Andrew Korn held down the decks through-out the evening and coaxed everyone out of their seats to dance with the happy couple. To be sure, everyone felt the love in the air.

Best of wishes to Chris and Julie in their new life together!

Our love of being at Westmont College events is no secret. And the Westmont prom was no exception. Bringing in the heavy hitters on our team, with enough equipment to rock the rotunda at Fess Parker's Double Tree Resort, GRP put on a full scale performance to ensure that Prom 2012 would be one for the record books.

700 Westmont students packed into the iconic resort by the sea for a night of dancing, cheering, and craziness. With Spencer Fischer on the mic and DJs Hecktik and Epik on the 1s and 2s, you could feel the ground bouncing up and down with all those dancing college kids!

After learning from our Westmont Winter Formal experience that one photo booth isn't enough for this kids, we brought TWO booths to the Westmont Prom and both were packed the entire night. Of course, hilarity ensued!

Thank you Westmont College for another amazing event!

Miranda and Matt tied the knot at Santa Barbara's Bacara Resort and Spa on Saturday, April 14, 2012

They pulled together an all-star team to help facilitate their wedding and showcase their love for each other. Even though the wind was blowing, the spirits were high and everyone has happy to have the sun at their backs as they looked out over the great Pacific Ocean. Miranda and Matt gave their vows with Jon Ireland working as officiant on their behalf.

With an absolute power trio of Donna Romani, coordination, Bella Vista Designs, lighting, and Blue Magnolia Florals, the entire event was a symphony of aesthetic design. A wedding as beautiful as the love that gave reason for it.

The legendary DJ Gavin Roy himself held down the decks for this particular event. For the Grand Entrance the bridal party had a 'themed' entrance going, using songs from Cheers, I Love Lucy, Peter Gun, Hawaii 5.0 (2011 Version), The Real O.C., Beverly Hills 90210, and Friday Night Lights. The bride and groom then went right into their first dance to All My Days.

After taking some time to enjoy their dinner, the couple then cut their wedding cake to Married Life, before taking up their loved ones in the Father/Daughter dance (I Wish You Love) and the Mother/Son (In My Life). They then opened the dance floor to all their guests, and without a doubt there was not a person in the house who didn't make their way out to boogie on down on the dance floors.

Congratulations to Miranda and Matt!

We love song covers! We hear them a lot in movie soundtracks, where a classic or popular hit is reinterpreted and redone in a unique and different style. Just add some of these interesting remakes to your cocktail or dinner music lists to jazz up your playlists while keeping guests of all ages happy, surprised and entertained. Here are some of our favorites, add them and spice up your mix!

It was one of the best Sweet 16th parties we've ever had to be a part of - Congratulations Bella!
Spencer Fischer and Gavin Roy rocked the dance party while playing music videos all night long. Gavin Roy Presents also featured our very own photo booth which played photos on a screen throughout the night. Bella Vista Designs did an amazing job with all the lighting and draping. Bella's boyfriend Nick, put together a great slideshow presentation for Bella and her friends to enjoy. Hands down the party of the year at the Bacara Resort and Spa. Congratulations Bella!

We've seen a lot of beautiful weddings but Melissa and Kevin's really sets a high bar for this years wedding season. With a love that knows no bounds and an amazing talent for creating weddings, Melissa and Kevin brought their love over from Hawaii to Gainey Vineyard, in Santa Ynez to tie the knot in true style.

Of course, Melissa planned her own big day! So if you like what you see in the photos taken by the wonderful Chanson's over at Radient Photography then you know who to call.

Our DJ Josh 'Hecktik' Stanford had the honor of providing the music and sound equipment for the evenings happenings, with great speechs and music making this a day that no one will soon forget.

If that wasn't enough, Melissa and Kevin had a absolutely stunning video created for them by Hoo Films, be sure to check it out below as well.
